Reaction Injection Molding (RIM) is a technology based on low-pressure injection of two-component resins. We process mainly DCPD resins with very good strength parameters including very high impact strength and high chemical resistance. They have a low specific gravity (1,0 g/cm3) which makes them very attractive wherever there is a need to reduce the weight of elements.
RIM technology is utilized for both small and large, over 100 kg parts. As an option, a two-component type of injection is used with an additional 3rd component that improves mechanical properties, including stiffness of particularly flat surfaces parts. In both these technologies we produce, among other things, bus wheel arches.
